After a disruption riddled 2022 regular season, Belmont FC will be represented in the finals series by 3 teams out of just 5 competition sides which is a great achievement.
Well done to those teams that have made the finals and we encourage our community to get out and support those teams still competing.
The teams that are playing this weekend for a spot in the Grand Final next weekend are out 2 x All Age Friday Night teams as well as our U12’s.
Where and when to see the action:
Friday night the 2nd September
All Age E v Mayfield at Edgeworth Oval with kickoff at 8:00pm
All Age J v Lochinvar Rovers at Norm Chapman Oval (Rutherford) with kickoff at 8:00pm
Saturday the 3rd September
U12 v Rutherford at Tredinnick Oval (Boolaroo) with kickoff at 10:30am
Good luck to our teams. Go Belmont !!!
Congratulations to Belmont FC’s under 18’s who won their Grand Final today in a tightly contested match against Singleton. It was a match play in good spirit by both teams but that by no means detracts from the toughness of the game.
Belmont hit the cross bar twice, once off of Brandon Greenwood’s head and later from a sweetly struck shot from Joel Blackburn’s right boot but were not able to find the back of the net in regular time.
The game went into extra time with a extra 20 minutes to be played (10 minutes each way). Late into the second half of extra time and Nick Elliot was fouled in the box and was awarded a penalty. With just 3 minutes left on the clock, Nick kept his nerve and placed the penalty to the left of the keeper and into the net. The one goal was enough to separate the teams and secure victory for the Belmont FC team.
Congratulations to Dave Grew (Coach), Steve Veale (Manager) and all of the players on what has been a successful season.
Thanks to Brian Starrett and Cameron Starrett for the photos that have been used in the gallery.
A reminder that the AGM will be held on Thursday 19th September. The meeting will be held at Jewells Tavern and will commence at 6:30pm
We need you to step up and keep the club running.
We have some people stepping down and need others to take on roles. For example, as it stands at the moment we won’t have anyone posting content on the website or Facebook page so communications will be difficult.
If you can spare some time, help out your club. The club only runs if we have volunteers. Some positions need you to spend time at the club while others don’t need you to be at the club at all.
Be someone that makes a difference.
Get your pom poms ready and warm your vocal cords up. This is Grand Final Week.
After a big weekend of games and some big scorelines, we have another 3 Belmont FC teams joining the 3 that had already cemented their place in the Grand Finals. That means that out of 9 competition teams that Belmont FC had compete this season, 6 of them will be playing in Grand Final matches this weekend.
Get out to support your club this weekend. Let’s go Belmont!!!

Belmont FC is interested in holding some social football during the off season for anyone 15 years old and above. The idea is that we turn up most likely on a Friday afternoon/evening and split into teams and play some social games.
If you are interested in participating in this kind of social event, please let us know. We want to know that this concept is accepted before we decide to definitely go ahead with it.
The grounds have been opened for training however please keep off of the wet areas.
