It’s Time to Pull on Your Socks
Belmont FC are participating in a Pull on Your Socks fundraiser this season and expect that (at least) every player will be wearing a pair of McGrath Foundation pink socks on the 29th June whether they are home or away for their game. We have already received approval from the association to do this for the day.
If your team hasn’t received order forms yet, then they can be collected by the Coach/Manager from the team pigeon hole at the clubhouse.
The printing of the forms wasn’t completed as soon as was hoped so the order placement date of 1st of June will be upon us really quickly so we ask that you move quickly to get your teams orders in to ensure that we are able to receive the socks in time for us to wear them on June the 29th. If you can’t get the orders to us by the 1st June which we still prefer, then an extension until the 6th June is allowable.
The orders forms are to be completed and handed to your team Manager who will in turn pass them onto the committee.
Team Photos
Please follow the timetable for session times for team photos.
Please ensure that your entire team arrives early enough to be prepared and in line based on height to ensure everyone can have their photo session done on time.
See your team Manager/Coach for the envelopes for ordering.

*** Revised Duty Roster 2019 ***
Our community club can only run with volunteers. As such, each junior team has been allocated one round in which they are to organise volunteers to assist in the canteen or to cook and serve in the BBQ pit.
We need people to help each week with set up, otherwise the games will not be able to go ahead.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the committee.

Grounds Open
Both grounds are now available for training. Thank your for your cooperation during the ryegrass program.
Do you have photos?
We have been asked if we have photos of a team from the 80’s by a former player, but unfortunately we don’t so maybe you can help.
We only have a few details to work with, but from the information provided maybe you can help. The team that we are looking for photos of had a coach with the surname of Whippet and another by the name of John “Ducka” Donnerly. David Armstrong was a member of the team and John Marks was associated with the club at the time.
If you have any photos, please let us know via Facebook Messenger.
Ground 2 is Open
While the ryegrass program continues on Ground 1, we have been given the all clear to start using Ground 2 again for training.
Ground 2 as well as the training areas outside of the fenced area are to be shared with all teams. Once we are given the go ahead and both grounds are available, the booked allocated training areas will come back into play but for now, please share the space.
Cadbury Fundraiser
We’re about to kick off a fundraising drive to raise money for Belmont Football Club. It would be great if you could roll up your sleeves and help.
The good news is that this fundraiser is super simple… and delicious.
Cadbury Fundraiser: we’re selling Freddo and Caramelo Koala Funpack.
Every box of Freddo and Caramelo Koala Funpack we sell will raise $60. So we’re asking players and/or parents to sell at least one box for us. Feel free to grab another box if you’ve got lots of hungry buyers lined up!
Please collect your box of Freddo and Caramelo Koala Funpack on:
Date: 11th May 2019
At: Marks Oval Clubhouse
Tips for selling your treats
• Each item sells for $1
• Sell to family members, colleagues, friends or neighbours
• We don’t recommend that children sell the products – if they are involved, please ensure an adult is with them at all times
Pull On Your Socks
Belmont FC has decided this year to get behind the McGrath Foundation and raise money for those estimated 53 people diagnosed with breast cancer each day. We are fundraising for the McGrath Foundation to help place Breast Care Nurses across Australia.
More information will be provided in the coming weeks however for now, be prepared to buy yourself a pair of pink socks so all players and supporters can show our support.
If you would like to make an early contribution to our campaign and make a donation, please do so on our fundraiser page.
