Reminder: Social Kick

Prior to the end of the season we put out a message to see if anyone would be interested in getting together for a social kick around throughout the off season. As there seems to be enough interest, we’ll be starting this Friday evening. This is to be a a non-competitive, friendly and fun environment.

This is currently only open to those players from U15 and above.

If you are interested, please arrive at Marks Oval at 6:00pm so we can assess what size field best suits the numbers and we can all set up the fields/goals accordingly.

Come on down and join in the fun.

Committee Named

Tonight’s AGM saw most of the major committee positions for the club filled. Congratulations to those who have retained or taken on a new role and thanks to those who have given their time and are now stepping away from committee duties.

Equipment Officer: Darren Jones
Referee Coordinator: Jade Hislop
Website/Facebook Manager: Robert Guy

We have had a couple of others offer assistance however their best fit to the committee is yet to be established. We’ll come up with a plan that suits you and works well for the club. Thanks for putting your hands up.

Positions Still Available

Whilst many of the committee positions have been filled at tonight’s AGM, there are still some important positions available.

We are still on the lookout for a Treasurer, a Canteen Manager and a Canteen Junior.

The Canteen Manager and Junior positions are both paid positions however they are positions that require you in the canteen every (game day) Saturday, usually from 8:00am – 1:00pm but in some cases could be required longer or shorter.

Presentation Day

Wow! What an exciting day we’ve had. The Presentation Day is over for another yet and plenty of players have gone home with smiles on their faces after a big year.

Belmont FC takes pride in being a Community Club and is often more about participation than winning but that didn’t stop the club from massive achievements this year. With only 9 competition teams, 6 of those teams made it to the Finals, 5 teams made it to the Grand Final, we had 2 teams finish as Premiers and 1 Grand Final winning team. All in all, a very successful season and then there’s all the smiles on the faces of the Small Sided Football teams.

Belmont FC would like you to help this club continue to over achieve by taking some time to help out. We need people to take on roles to keep this club of great tradition going. The Annual General Meeting will be held this coming Thursday, the 19th September and will be held at Jewells Tavern and will commence at 6:30pm. We hope to see you there. The club can’t run without your help.

Return Team Kits

For those stragglers that are yet to return their team kit, please do so tomorrow morning before 8:30am. After that time the committee will be too busy with the running of the Presentation Day to accept returns.

Do not leave bags in the clubhouse without handing them to a committee member at any time. We had kits go missing last year as a result of just that.

Reminder to all teams that team kits are to be returned to the clubhouse this Thursday 12/9 between 4.30pm and 6pm. No kits are to be returned on presentation day as the committee will be to busy to accept them.
