Working Bee a Success

post

WOW! What an amazing effort! Thank you so much to the parents and kids who volunteered their time to help mow and whipper snip the grounds on Saturday with another washed out day. It was great to see so many turn up to help in any way they could.

Boot Out Breast Cancer Day

post

Belmont FC’s Boot Out Breast Cancer Day will be held on July the 27th.

We will proudly be pink for the day with the teams wearing their pre-purchased pink socks for the event as well as some additional items that have been purchased.

Don’t forget to purchase an entry guessing how many lollies are in the jar in our guessing competition in the weeks leading up to the event.

Our teams whether home or away will look outstanding donning the pink socks raising money for the local charity. Home teams will help the club be pinker which away teams carry the support and raise the awareness of the support Hunter Breast Cancer Foundation (HBCF) provide.

HBCF support local families going through treatment providing help via house cleaning, car trips to appointments, and lawn care among other things as well as providing comfort packs which are given out to every patient during treatment which include cushions, bags & drain bags too.

*** Revised Duty Roster 2019 ***

Our community club can only run with volunteers. As such, each junior team has been allocated one round in which they are to organise volunteers to assist in the canteen or to cook and serve in the BBQ pit.

We need people to help each week with set up, otherwise the games will not be able to go ahead.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the committee.

Ground 2 is Open

post

While the ryegrass program continues on Ground 1, we have been given the all clear to start using Ground 2 again for training.

Ground 2 as well as the training areas outside of the fenced area are to be shared with all teams. Once we are given the go ahead and both grounds are available, the booked allocated training areas will come back into play but for now, please share the space.

Pull On Your Socks

post

Belmont FC has decided this year to get behind the McGrath Foundation and raise money for those estimated 53 people diagnosed with breast cancer each day. We are fundraising for the McGrath Foundation to help place Breast Care Nurses across Australia.

More information will be provided in the coming weeks however for now, be prepared to buy yourself a pair of pink socks so all players and supporters can show our support.

If you would like to make an early contribution to our campaign and make a donation, please do so on our fundraiser page.
