Over 35s Thursday 26th April At Marks Oval

Due to the Jets game on Friday night the Football Association has moved the O35’s game to Thursday night 26th April. This means that one of the fields will not be available for training tonight. Teams training tonight will need to work in together to co-ordinate the available remaining space for training.

After a rigorous off-season training regime the O35’s are looking good to kick off the season for Belmont FC. Good luck tonight guys.

March 18th Trial Games Wrap Up

Thankyou to all parents and players for turning up on such a hot day last Sunday. All up we managed to get over 85% of games played before conditions got too hot. We are really sorry for those teams that had there games cut or didn’t play at all but the vast majority got to have a run around and we hope everyone enjoyed the day.

This was also a valuable day for the new committee settling in and getting things sorted for when competition games begin. We thank you for your patience.

An extra special mention must go out to two outstanding volunteers on the day who helped out in the canteen and bbq pit under such hot conditions. Thankyou to Catherine Piper and Leanne Sillick your help is very much appreciated. Not to mention committee members Steve Veale and Christine Jones who also slogged it out in the bbq pit and canteen for the entire day.

This coming weekend we will have a team roster going in order to assist in field setup, bbq pit and canteen duties to help the day run smoothly. Managers of the selected teams will be required to manage the team volunteer roster once it is posted. Don’t worry, those teams selected this round will be taken into account when the full duty roster is completed.

All games this weekend are again at home except for the following teams playing at Morisset:

Field 1
U17/2 @ 2:30pm
U17/1 @ 3.50pm

Field 2
U13/1 @ 1.40pm
U14/1 @ 2.20pm (Edited)

Please regularly check our Facebook page or the web page for updates on this weekends games and duty roster.

Kind Regards

Belmont FC Committee

Trial Games Sunday 18th March are On

To all parents and players of Belmont Football Club,

At this stage we are going ahead with trial games on Sunday 18th March.

With current weather conditions predicted to be very hot tomorrow we will be following the NNSWF Heat Policy in terms of continuing with games in the heat. This policy generally limits playing junior games until the temperature reaches 32 degrees.

At this stage it looks like we will get through most of the games scheduled before mid-day.

We will monitor the conditions closely throughout the day.

Please remember to ensure that players are well hydrated prior to the game and don’t forget the sunblock.

We are also looking for volunteers throughout the day so please let us know if you can help out.

Regards

Belmont FC Committee
